Overview

You can download and install any of our products for a no obligation trial. The downloads contain a complete fully functional copy of the product and will work for 30 days (note 6). If you decide to purchase, you will receive a permanent authorization code for your System i. If you would like us to mail the demo to you instead, fill out a Demo Request. If you are ready to purchase but need an invoice, fill out an Invoice Request.

Instructions

Verify that the most recent release of our software is compatible with your i5/OS release level (note 2) based on the Earliest i5/OS column. If it is not, see our Earlier Releases at the bottom of this page. Download the self extracting zip by right clicking the .exe and selecting "Save Link As…" (Firefox) or "Save Target As…" (Internet Explorer). Save the .exe into a temporary directory on your PC. Unzip the file by double clicking it from Explorer or by starting a command prompt, changing to the temporary directory and typing the file name. Then, read the enclosed "readme.htm" file for step by step instructions on uploading the product to your System i. The minimum requirement is an FTP connection to the System i.

  1. The Last PTF Included column shows the last PTF applied to the product before it was packaged for download. Compare this number to the Last PTF Available column to determine if additional PTFs are available on the PTFs page.
  2. You can determine your i5/OS release level by running: DSPDTAARA DTAARA(QUSRSYS/QSS1MRI).
  3. Manual provides a link to the PDF version of the product's manual and shows its size.
  4. Older enhancement summaries can be found on our Release History page.
  5. PDF version not available, see the online version which is menu option 1.
  6. Temporary authorization of the product is automatic unless it was previously installed on your system. In this case you will need to contact us for a new temporary authorization code.
  7. If you install the product over a permanently authorized earlier release, a 90 day release upgrade grace period will be granted. Enter your new permanent authorization code.

Earlier Releases

If your release of i5/OS is not supported by the current release of our product, you must download and install one of our earlier releases that is compatible. Select the most recent release of our software that is compatible with your i5/OS release level (note 2) based on the Earliest i5/OS column. The install procedure is the same.
